The Many Adventures of Keira!

This is our page to document our family's adoption journey- starting from when we first started planning for our little one, to when we brought her home. We're also going to keep this updated with all of the things that Keira has been up to since she's been home with us here in the U.S!

More Paperwork

We received a Fed Ex package from our agency with lots and lots of paperwork to fill out! Amongst the paperwork are Keira's original referral pictures, her original medical exam paperwork along with the english translations and all of the paperwork that we need to fill out for the referral. We also have to fill in the paperwork accepting the referral and send in the payment for the agency fees etc. I went to the bank and got a cashier's check. We're really close!!! By the middle of next week, we'll have more info I think on the exact dates etc. I started looking around for carseats, strollers etc, but I decided to let Dan come with me and be part of the decision making on it. Safety Safety Safety is the main concern--but of course it still has to be cute ;). My friend Thao told me about Britax carseats. They are a little pricey ,but I know that Thao always does lots and lots of research on things and chose that carseat for a reason. I think I'll check if they have any good deals on them on Ebay as well!

We just bought the Britax Marathon (the pink one*S*). Just my opinion, but based on what I've read on safety sites and consumer awareness pamphlets, I wouldn't buy a carseat on EBay. I've read you should never buy a carseat from yard sales, etc because you don't know if they've been in accidents and their safety is compromised if they have been. Consignment stores here aren't allowed to sell used seats because of safety uncertainty.
